Note: We do not collect Betfair customer data.

• Contractual necessity: To operate your account, generate invoices, calculate commission.
• Legitimate interests: To monitor system performance, detect misuse, and manage unpaid debts.
• Consent: Only for optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Automated Decision Making

We use automated processes to calculate your commission fee based on tracked betting activity. These calculations may affect invoicing, but you can raise a dispute before payment. Each dispute is reviewed by a human.

5. Marketing Communications

We may send you marketing emails about BetHawk products and services:

• If you are an existing customer who signed up with us, we rely on the PECR soft opt-in exception — you will have been given the option to opt out when you first provided your contact details, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• If you are a sole trader or individual not covered by the soft opt‑in, or you explicitly opted in to marketing, we rely on UK GDPR consent — consent was clearly requested separately, and you can withdraw it at any time.
• If you are a corporate subscriber (e.g., a limited company), we may rely on legitimate interests to send marketing messages, provided it does not override your rights. You will always have the option to unsubscribe.

How to opt-out: Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. Alternatively, you can contact us at support@bethawk.co.uk to withdraw your consent or object to marketing.

We respect marketing preferences. If you’ve opted out, we may retain minimal data required to avoid sending you marketing in the future (i.e. suppression list).

6. International Transfers

We do not intentionally transfer your personal data outside the UK.

7. Retention Period

We retain your personal data while your account is active. After account closure, we retain records for up to 10 years for:

• Dispute resolution or complaint handling
• Tax and legal compliance
• Potential future account reactivation

We may retain records longer only if required by law or technical limitations.
